I had a similar product that the handle broke on in our clay soil. The Sneeboer product is far superior, and is able to handle the weeds in the hard or rain soaked clay soil of Wisconsin with no signs of stress to either the handle or the stainless head. I would recommend this whole heartedly.

This weeding tool is very useful and efficient. I only have one complaint....I recently purchased 5 of this tool. On all five the wooded hand stopper on end of handle was not secured or glued very well. Not sure why this is. I glued in place with Gorilla Glue and have not had any more problem.

I changed my southern California lawn from grass to native low-water plants. No more grass, but a few weeds do pop up. This diamond hoe makes quick work of them. Much more pleasant experience to quickly and quietly run this hoe across the yard than to crank up the noisy lawnmower.
The Sneeboer diamond hoe feels good in my hands -- light and balanced. It was tough enough to de-sod the lawn by shoving one tip under the grass and ripping out the sod carpet strip by strip. But you can also delicately slip a tip under a single weed and twist it out without damaging its neighbors. It's a "violin" tool -- simple, but oh so beautiful with practice.
One final note, I had wondered about the unusual grind on the edges of the hoe and, just out of curiosity, I e-mailed a question to Sneeboer. I was surprised to get a response from none other than Jaap Sneeboer himself. He sent a very friendly and informative response and it impressed me greatly that he took so much time to help a single customer.
I have no regrets paying a little more for a great hoe built by a friendly company.

This weeder gets right in between the veggies and flowers, even does the weeds in the gravel. All this in 1/10 the time it used to take! I love it!

This is a wonderful weeding tool...especially if you're over 60 and out of shape! Perfect for all of my raised vegetable beds and borders where plants are spaced close together!

I use this to keep a dirt path through our woods clear of small vines, berry bush sproutshoots vagrant shoots. The diamond hoe cuts the work in half by slicing below the surface on both the push and pull motions with minimum disruption to the trail surface.

I was resistant to pull the trigger on a Sneeboer; the price pint is significantly higher than competitive brands. That said, it is a pleasure working with a quality product. While not made for hard core weeding, it is excellent working within my lush perennial beds. It is nimble and sharp.
