This is a great spading fork. Spading forks in general are one of my favorite garden tools since they are good for digging, mixing the soil, AND sifting out some of my least favorite weeds! I've been through several spading forks - the tines bend, the head falls off the handle, the handle breaks . . . not with this one! This is sturdy! I've dug up our whole asparagus bed with it, which was basically turf. I've caught some pretty big roots with it by accident and haven't bent the tines (though I try not to abuse it). The handle is sturdy and is well seated in the head of the tool. My only complaint, if I had to come up with one, was that one of the little brass things holding the head on the handle had a little sharp metal shaving on it and I cut myself on it a little. This thing is great, though, and I plan to buy another as a gift.

So well made! Excellent wood and excellent metal combined to perfection. Excellent weight, easy to use, easy to grab. After having used many different brands of gardening tools throughout the years this one became my number one.

Great digging fork. Expensive, but well worth the money
