Product Description
This version of the Hori Hori knife is 4.5 inches longer than the standard Hori Hori knife for a little extra reach. Like the standard length Hori Hori knife, you’ll find this garden tool indispensable. Great for weeding, planting, digging, cutting or opening those garden bags.
The ultra-tough Hori Hori knife features a concave carbon steel blade with a sharp edge for slicing on one side and a serrated edge for sawing on the other. Fitted with a Beech hardwood handle for years of service. A quality tool made in Japan.

My Go-To Tool

If I had only one tool in for my 4 acre garden, this knife would be the one! It does everything. Fortunately, it's not my only tool, but I keep this away from our crew. They'd abscond with it!

I'm in my 60's and have been playing in the dirt forever. A horticulturist friend said I needed a 'japanese garden knife' and I had no idea what she was talking about. And I set out to find out as much as I could about this knife and why I needed one. And ordered this one from Blake and Anne Schreck, Garden Tool Co. I LOVE IT! Along with garden gloves, this knife is the first thing I grab as I head outside. In fact, I keep it in the house (rather than with all the other 'tools' in the garden shed') as it is my garden tool of first resort!!

I never imagined that I would use a knife for weeding. I make my living managing gardens and this tool has made life easier. I have rheumatoid arthritis so the ease of sliding a knife into the soil isn't as jarring. My crew will take this knife over any of the other garden tools. I'm ordering another one for my own use.

My best new tool

This is my new favorite tool. It is great as a weeder. Its weight and sturdy construction give good leverage for removing the toughest weeds. The serrated knife edge is a handy bonus when encountering something that requires cutting.
