This transplanting spade by Sneeboer has a very sharp blade with a unique "V" notch that allows you to cut through roots without them slipping off the side. While this transplanting spade is quite the aggressor, its narrow 4.5 inch wide blade allows you dig near surrounding plantings without damaging them.
This transplanting spade is hand-forged from stainless steel and fitted with an Ash hardwood "T" handle from FSC Certified forests. –Lifetime Guarantee!

I can't say enough about the Sneeboer tools--true pieces of art that you can enjoy using in the garden. This tool probably impressed me the most because of its solid hefty sharp head. The head is a unique shape and it is both "show" and "go"--it made quick work of the ornamental grass I divided with it. I could see this tool assisting with digging holes that have roots and of course for transplanting trees and shrubs. A+ tool that is a must have for the serious gardener!
