The Vineyard Spade, a heavy duty digging spade, was originally used for  removing vine roots. Today, this Vineyard spade is a great choice for not only digging, but because of its square end and  wide blade, it's also wonderful for lifting and moving of loose materials such as dirt, sand, mulch and gravel.
