This large garden spade is a gardener's favorite, and for good reason. This spade is great for double digging, planting or transplanting small trees and shrubs, or edging clean lines for beds...it's ready for work. With a larger blade than the perennial spade and steps for comfy digging, this garden spade will do a lot of work in a little time.

Handmade in Holland Since 1913.

This garden spade is hand-forged from stainless steel and fitted with an Ash hardwood "T" handle from FSC Certified sustainable forests.

The Ace of Spades

This spade is truly transformational! It us just the right size for planting and transplanting annuals and perennials. I borrowed my neighbor’s and the next day ordered one for myself. You don’t have to be the sharpest tool in the shed to understand the benefits of a good tool.

Wonderful tool!

This tool is heavy duty! It has some weight behind it which is great. We didn’t need to have a lot of force when pushing the spade into the ground. Its weight helps it go into the dirt for us. The spade is quite sharp! We are loving this spade for that very reason. We are removing ground growing ivy and this spade and a garden fork are the only two tools we used. This type of plant has woody roots mangled together. The spade cuts right down through the roots. We are in love!
