The tool works as described by the provider. The delivery was delayed a bit by the weather - getting out of Texas and into California was trickier than would have been imagined ("neither snow nor sleet nor dead of night..." ).

The construction of the tool is first rate - like one of those photos you see of tools hanging in a picture-perfect advertising shot. Hard wood handle, firmly attached and easy on the hands to use. The tool is so good at what it does that the user needs to pay attention to how it is used. If you are not careful, yes, it can snag roots on the back swing that you intended to leave be. All in all, a great purchase. I got the tool with with the long pole and I will be back for the shorter one soon. Works well on slopes and in rocky soils.

This diamond hoe is great for getting just under the soil surface and cutting weeds and grass in the garden. It is sharp on all sides so can be used with back and forth motions as well as sideways for narrower swaths. Because of the points on the sides it can get into small areas, but be careful not to get too close to the plants you want and accidentally cut them, too. Comfortable to use, solid construction. Delighted to have this tool in my arsenal.

This hoe was designed for weeding in tight places. You want to save your back from bending over pulling weeds, this hoe is what you need to do the job. The diamond shape works well getting rid of those hard to get at weeds. Try it you won't be disappointed.
