Sophie Conran Twist Cultivator by Burgon & Ball

I recently discovered Burgon and Ball products. I am determined to change out all my gardening equipment to this line.

I feel that most tools are geared toward the standard size of a man, which is considerably larger than myself.

I typically find tools to be large, bulky, or heavy.

This line of tools is none of those things. The tools are made of strong quality materials with substance and weight, but not heavy, where they make my hands and body tired from use before I have gotten the job done.

This tool fits perfectly in my hand. No extra bits sticking out, or wasted materials. It fits my hand better than the pictures shown, and my hand and wrist don't tire.

The tool works amazingly. It goes into the ground smoothly, even in tough, compact dirt, as the tips are pointed.

Twisting the tool brings up the whole clod. Roots and all. You can also tilt it to one side as you pull it up and it will just loosen the weed to pluck out, if need be.

I can't say enough about this product line.

My mother and grandmother are also switching their tools to Burgon and Ball.

Not to say this is a line specifically for women, I just happen to be one.

This is the perfect hand tool to loosen up soil before seeding, to blend compost/topsoil together, and compact enough to get between plants. It is a little pricey, but honestly worth it for the quality as well as being multi-purpose.
